About the challenge
Why I’m running 100km.
I'm 14 years old, and this summer I'm taking on a personal challenge to run 100 km in support of the UK Association for Medical Aid to Pakistan. For me, this is about much more than running — it's about making a real difference to people who urgently need our help.
Across Pakistan, millions of people are facing a severe water crisis. Floods, heatwaves and droughts have devastated water supplies, leaving around 22 million people without access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water causes illness, keeps children out of school, and makes it even harder for families to escape poverty.
My goal is to help fund a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtration unit, providing safe, clean drinking water for up to 8,000 people every month. Access to clean water doesn't just improve health, it creates opportunities for education, work and a brighter future.
Every kilometre I run brings me one step closer to this goal, but I can't do it alone. If you're able to support my challenge, no matter how big or small your donation, you'll be helping to provide something many of us take for granted: clean, safe drinking water.
